About Us
Glubes Audio Video Unlimited (formerly Glubes Sound Studio) was founded as a department within Glubes Furniture Limited in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in 1978. In 1990, Glubes separated from its furniture store roots and was reborn as Glubes Sound Studio. This newly founded company was created by the founder of Glubes Sound Studio, Steven Budovitch, and the general manager, Kevin Sawler under the newly incorporated Canflor Holdings Limited.
As one of Nova Scotia’s oldest and most respected A/V solutions providers, Glubes has successfully grown not only their client base, but their geographic reach as well. Glubes now services a wide range of both residential and commercial clients throughout the Maritimes.
Glubes designs and installs custom home theater entertainment systems, automation control systems, window treatments as well as Security and Surveillance systems for the discriminating buyer. Glubes has also expanded into commercial Audio/ Video solutions, as well a Boardroom meeting system design and installation. All our design and installation teams are Glubes-trained.
In 2000, Glubes joined a national buying group, Audio Video Unlimited, from Vancouver, BC. This affiliation further enhanced their relationships with key suppliers. To help more completely represent the growth that began with their humble beginnings in 1978, Glubes Sound Studio rebranded themselves as Glubes Audio Video Unlimited (a.k.a. Glubes AVU).
Continued growth ultimately attracted the attention of Summa Financial Services president Richard Landzaat, and his investment partner Harold Daley. With the departure of one of the original founders, Steven Budovitch on Sept 1st / 2022, a new affiliation between shareholders Kevin Sawler, Richard Landzaat, and Harold Daley was born. The three partners now form the shareholder base for Canflor Holdings Limited, dba Glubes AVU.
