The Kaleidescape Terra movie server is the foundation of a multi-room Kaleidescape Strato system. Kaleidescape Terra, with Strato C players, provides the best 4K Ultra HD performance and the most flexibility for future expansion. The compact Terra is a smaller version of Terra, with the same performance and reliability.
The compact Terra stores full-fidelity movies on an enterprise-quality hard drive, maintaining visual detail and lossless audio. The compact Terra can support any number of Strato C players and is capable of serving up to 5 simultaneous 4K Ultra HD playbacks over a standard residential Gigabit Ethernet network. Terra provides caching and computing services that enhance player performance and enable large systems.
Once a movie is downloaded and stored on Terra, it can be enjoyed immediately from any player. Kaleidescape’s proprietary kOS operating system provides Terra with the advanced content protection required by Hollywood motion picture studios for storage of their highest-fidelity movies.
The compact Kaleidescape Terra is available with 22TB, 12TB, or 6TB of storage. Up to four compact Terras can be combined in a single system for more storage.
